The latest Express Entry took place on May 31, 2017 in which the candidates who scored 413 or above on CRS have been selected by the IRCC. A total of 3,877 candidates were selected from the pool of candidates and have been issued Invitations to Apply (ITA). Making this the lowest ever CRS cut-off point for candidates under the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Most Express Entry candidates are eligible under one of these programs.
This is the third draw in this week when the draw took place simultaneously on May 26 and were restricted to the Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC) and provincial nominees respectively.
The opening months of 2017 have witnessed a series of decreasing CRS requirements and increasing numbers of ITAs issued. This followed predictions made by IRCC towards the end of 2016 that changes to the Express Entry system and the CRS would result in a greater number of ITAs being issued, and consequently a drop in the CRS score requirement.
