Australia Invitation rounds occur monthly for visa subclass 190 and 491 and quarterly for visa subclass 189. However, these invitation round dates may vary depending on the Australian labour market's priority.

    Invitation round is basically when the Australian Government invites candidates from the Expression of interest they have submitted to apply for the permanent residency visa, which are based on some factors of the applicant like when the have the highest score in an occupation on its demand list.

    Australia Invitation processing time after submitting the Expression of Interest depends if your score, factors, visa subclass, occupation in demand, applicants whose profile is in high demand with their respective occupations with 85+ points may get the invitation to apply for permanent residency in 2-3 months while on the other hand those applicants whose occupation are not in demand and have lower score can wait upto half a year or even longer sometimes. 
    You can improve your score if you increase your work experience, higher english points, in order to get the invitation faster.
