• 70% of spots are for "Skilled Workers" (people like doctors, builders, and engineers).

• 30% of spots are for families (people who want to live with their relatives).
  

Good News for People Already in Australia

Many applied for visas from other countries in the past (this is called "offshore"). The government is doing something new this year. They are allocating more than 70% of the spots to migrants already in Australia on temporary visas.
