Conducted on October 9, 2025, these invites targeted healthcare, education, and regional economic development (REDI), important sectors noted as being crucial to Ontario’s long-term labour and immigration growth strategy. It's a huge and new opportunity for the Indians looking for Permanent residency, as the portfolios are wide. The invites focus on various Job types, whether high talent or labour-intensive skills.

This multi-stream draw shows Ontario’s continued intention to address skill shortages and build stronger communities while fulfilling Canada’s larger objectives for immigration and regional development. Ontario has become one of the best places to get a PR in Canada

Ontario’s Support for International Graduates

The International Student Stream remains a powerful bridge for global graduates, particularly those from India.

Ontario’s focus on job offers in healthcare, education, engineering, and technology allows thousands of international students to secure permanent residency after graduation.

With over 810 invitations in this round alone, the province reaffirmed its role as the top destination for Indian graduates in Canada seeking stable career growth and PR opportunities.

Application Timeline & Employer Portal Update

Candidates invited in the October 9 draw must complete the following within strict deadlines:

  • Employers: Submit job position approvals in the OINP Employer Portal within 14 days.

  • Applicants: Submit PR applications through the OINP e-Filing Portal within 17 days of receiving their invitation.

This Employer Portal system, introduced in  July 2025, ensures transparency and prevents fraudulent job offers by requiring employers to register positions before nomination applications can proceed.

These figures show Ontario’s continued expansion under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), ensuring more opportunities for skilled workers, graduates, and tradespeople to transition to PR.

Why This Update Matters for Indian Applicants

For Indian professionals and graduates, the latest Ontario draws offer several advantages:

  1. Lower EOI score thresholds – as low as 31 for In-Demand Skills, allowing wider access to PR opportunities.

  2. Healthcare & education demand – matching the profiles of many Indian nurses, teachers, and health professionals already working or studying in Ontario.

  3. REDI pilot expansion – providing new chances for Indian skilled workers to settle in smaller communities with strong job markets.

  4. Employer-driven model – offering direct PR pathways for those with valid Ontario job offers.

With more targeted draws expected through the final quarter of 2025, Ontario remains a highly promising province for Indians seeking to build long-term careers and families in Canada.
