Saskatchewan Immigration Occupation List

Please note that the SINP’s In-Demand Occupation List was revised on May 1, 2019.

Please see the list below for these requirements. If you are requested to provide proof of licensure for your intended NOC code, your application will be held for processing until such proof is provided – all other required documents must be included in your application or your application will be returned as incomplete and your application fee will not be refunded. Do not provide licensure documents unless you have been advised by the SINP .

1 0423 Managers in social and community services If you have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work you must provide your assessment of equivalency letter from the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW).

If your education is apart from Social Work, the CASW will not assess your credentials. Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) is required from a designated organization.
You must have completed a four year degree program in a social science field.
2 1311 Accounting technicians No You must have completed a minimum two year diploma program in accounting which includes specialized courses in automated accounting, taxation, financial and cost accounting, auditing, intermediate accounting, managerial accounting and accounting information systems.
3 2174 Computer Programmers and interactive media developers You are required to provide documentation from the Canadian Association of Information Technology Professionals (CIPS) showing:
  • Candidate Membership as an Associate Information Technology Professional
  • Certificate Membership as an Information System Professional
  • Certificate Membership as an Information Technology Certified Professional of Canada
You must have completed a minimum three year program in computer science, information technology, computer science systems, or a related discipline in integrated multimedia or computing science. Computer Science engineering programs will not be considered.
4 2251 Architectural technologists and technicians No You must have completed a degree or minimum two year diploma program in architectural technology.
5 3211 Medical laboratory technologists Valid licensure is required from the Saskatchewan Society of Medical Laboratory Technologists
6 3215 Medical radiation technologists Valid licensure is required from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists or Saskatchewan Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
7 3216 Medical sonographers Valid documentation are required from Sonography Canada or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
8 3234 Paramedics Valid Licensure from Saskatchewan College of Paramedics
9 4151 Psychologists Valid Licensure from Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
10 4212 Social and community service workers If you have a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Social Work, provide your assessment of equivalency letter from the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW). If your education is in a discipline other than social work the CASW will not assess your credentials. Provide your educational credential assessment (ECA) from a designated organization. You must have completed a degree or minimum two year diploma program in social work, child and youth care, social science or psychology.
11 4214 Early childhood educators Valid licensure is required
12 4215 Instructors of persons with disabilities No You must have completed a degree or minimum two year diploma program with a specialization in special education, rehabilitation, orientation and mobility, visual impairment, hearing impairment or intellectual disability.
13 5254 Program leaders and instructors in recreation, sport and fitness No You must have completed a degree or minimum two year diploma program in recreation, sports or fitness discipline.
14 6331 Meat Cutters Require a letter of approval from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission You must have completed a meat cutting apprenticeship program, or vocational training in meat-cutting which includes at least two years of on the job training.
15 6332 Bakers No You must have completed a minimum two year diploma program or a vocational training program specializing in baking and pastry arts which includes at least one year of on the job training.
16 7292 Glaziers Require a letter of approval from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission You must have completed an apprenticeship program or vocational training as a glazier.
17 7312 Heavy-duty equipment mechanics Require a letter of approval from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission You must have completed an apprenticeship program or vocational training as a heavy-duty equipment mechanic/technician.
18 7321 Automotive service technicians, truck and bus mechanics Require a letter of approval from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission You must have completed an apprenticeship program or vocational training as either an automotive service technician, truck and bus mechanic, or mechanical repairer.
19 7322 Motor vehicle body repairers Require a letter of approval from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission You must have completed an apprenticeship program or vocational training as a motor vehicle body repairer.

  • Electronic Service Technicians (household and business equipment)
  • Economists and Economic Policy Researchers and Analysts.
