In the recent Canada Express Entry draw held on 13th October 2021, the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), issued a total number of 681 invitations to the candidates who had score of at least 720 belonging to the provincial nominee program.
They rank candidates in the pool using a point-based system called the Comprehensive ranking system (CRS) and further invite the candidate to apply for permanent residence. This draw has a lower CRS requirement, suggesting there were fewer PNP candidates with higher scores in the pool. The CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate is adjudged to be 720. Rank required to be invited to apply 681st or above.
What is CRS?
The CRS or the Comprehensive Ranking System is a point-based system that determines the score of an applicant on the basis of certain factors such as age, educational qualification, work experience, partner’s skills, language adaptability, etc. The eventual score of the candidate concludes the rank of a candidate to be selected from the Express Entry pool. The profiles with high ranks are picked for the invitation to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
