SkillSelect and State Nomination Update, South Australia Announced key change
South Australia has announced a new change in its General Skilled Migration Program. According to this change the requirement by South Australia has been increased from 80 to 85 points for the high points state nomination. 85 points will be required after once the total quota limit has been reached no further invitations can be issued for the Skilled Independent Subclass 189 visa or Skilled Regional (Provisional) Subclass 489 family sponsored stream until 1 July 2017 when the program re-opens.

The new change will become effective from April 19, 2017. The applications However, the application lodged before this time will not get affected by these changes. Some occupations kept out of the high points and chain migration streams
