British Columbia exempts Immigrant Workers from paying the foreign buyer real estate tax
The government of British Columbia has exempted the foreign skilled workers coming to the BC from paying the 15% foreign buyer tax on real estate in Metro Vancouver.
This exemption will benefit a huge number of skilled workers coming to the province of British Columbia through its Provincial Nominee Program, i.e. British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).
However, there is a condition also applied to this exemption, i.e. to become eligible for the rebate, the purchaser require living in the same house continuously for at least one year.
