Australian government to be abolished 457 temporary work visa and replaced by TSS
Australian government has taken a big decision which will affect many Indians. Through this decision Australian government will give priority to Australian workers rather than foreigners. Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull announced this through facebook on Tuesday.

PM said, ““Australians must have priority for Australian jobs – so we’re abolishing the subclass 457 visas, the visas that bring temporary foreign workers into our country, we’ll no longer let 457 visas be passports to jobs that could and should go to Australians.”

“It’s important that businesses still get access to the skills they need to grow and invest. So the 457 visa will be replaced by a new temporary visa specifically designed to recruit the best and the brightest in the national interest” he added.

Nearly 95,758 people are working in Australia on Australian 457 visa in which Indians share the highest proportion of this visa which is 24.6%.

The 457 visa will be abolished from March 2018 and replaced by a new temporary work visa namely Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa.
