The Department of Home Affairs introduced new Visa State Migration changes for the skilled workers applying through Tasmania Nomination Program.
Tasmania Skilled Nomination Program allows skilled workers to come and work in the state to contribute towards the growing economy of the state. The applicants who match with the Tasmania needs are invited to apply.
Therefore, to bring in skilled workers in the state, Tasmania has updated its visa state nomination requirements as stated below:
The migrants applying for Tasmania through Australia Skilled Nominated Visa 190 that invites skilled workers to come and settle in the particular area provided you have the state/territory nomination from Tasmania will now require at least having work experience in Tasmania under the occupation that is in-demand.
The program is point based provisional visa category that is valid for four years inviting skilled and qualified workers to come and settle in the regional area of Australia for at least 2 years provided the migrant has state nomination or family sponsorship.
There are different categories under Subclass 489 that has been updated by the Tasmanian Government.
For other Tasmania Immigration Program under Subclass 188/132 Business Migration Programs, a clear list of eligibility requirements is now available on the Migration Tasmania Website.
The applicants will be processed according to the new visa guidelines released by the immigration department of Tasmania. However, to apply for Australia Skilled Visa Programs you must follow a point based criteria and score at least 65 points out of 100 on Australia Point Assessment Grid. The points are calculated for age, educational qualification, work experience, language ability and other factors.
