SINP revised In Demand Occupations List for the year 2019

The Saskatchewan province announced the updated in-demand occupation list for Canadian Permanent Residence on 4th April 2019. A total of 13 new occupations have been added to Saskatchewan’s in-demand occupations list.

Some of the new occupations added in Saskatchewan In-demand Occupations List is Computer Programmers and Interactive media developers. Whereas, some of the occupations removed were managers in agriculture, managers in horticulture, psychiatrists, etc.

To apply for Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), an applicant must have work experience in an occupation listed on in-Demand Occupations List for applying both Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand subcategories. An applicant does not require any job-offer for either sub-category.

Also, Candidates who are not in the Express Entry pool are also eligible to pursue a nomination by the SINP through the Occupations-In-Demand Sub Category.

24 occupations are in the Revised SINP Occupational Demand List:

The In-Demand Occupations List is applicable for both Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand sub-categories. These 24 occupations are revised for the applicants applying through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program.

As a part of the update, the province of Saskatchewan removed 9 occupations out of which Welders, Industrial Mechanics, and Recreation Vehicle Service, etc are some of the occupations removed.

A good thing about the updated demand list is out of 24 occupations, nine do not require professional status or licensure. However, all the occupations added as part of the update has specified educational requirements.

The SINP In-Demand List is periodically updated to ensure positive employment prospects in Saskatchewan. So, if your occupation is currently listed on SINP in-demand list, this is now the perfect time to apply for Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

4 2154 Land surveyors Required to provide documentation from the Canadian Board of Examiners for Professional Surveyors (CBEPS) showing “Candidate Status” and eligibility to write the CBEPS candidate examinations.
5 2174 Computer Programmers and interactive media developers You are required to provide documentation from the Canadian Association of Information Technology Professionals (CIPS) showing:
  • Candidate Membership as an Associate Information Technology Professional
  • Certificate Membership as an Information System Professional
  • Certificate Membership as an Information Technology Certified Professional of Canada
