The province of Saskatchewan has changed its popular Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) Occupation In-demand category PR processing timings from 6 months to 14 months. Due to the increasing number of applications under SINP-OID category the PR processing has been delayed leading to the backlog of visa applications.
Additionally, the application fee for applying Occupation In-Demand Category has also been changed. Applicants applying on or after 1, 2019 will be required to pay the new fee of $350 even if the 60 day application period has not expired.
Expression-of-Interest (EOI) profiles without an Education Credential Assessment will not be selected and ECA is a mandatory document for applying Occupation In-demand category.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)-OID category is processed outside of Express Entry where you are required to score at least 60 points out of 100 on Canada Point Assessment Grid. The points are calculated for age, educational qualification, work experience, language ability and adaptability factors.
The highest ranking applicant is then invited through SINP-regular EOI draws.
The recent SINP-OID draw was conducted on 7th March inviting applicants with 81 points- read here
