SINP Conducts New EOI Draws for Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand Candidates

The province of Saskatchewan invited 202 applicants having work experience in any of seven occupations listed to apply for Canadian Permanent residence on May 1. The current draw invited applicants with the lowest ranking score of 67 immigration points for Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand categories.

The current EOI draw was conducted for Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand Immigration sub-categories targeted candidates with work experience in the following mentioned occupations:

Managers in social, community and correctional services

Conference and event planners

Medical Sonographers

Instructors of persons with disabilities

The above mentioned seven occupations are listed on the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) in-demand Occupations list. The work experience is among the eligibility requirements for both the SINP's Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand sub-categories. However, a job offer letter is not required.

The SINP draw was followed by the removal of conference and event planners (1226) from the list. This is the third time that the SINP has updated its in-demand Occupations List since the start of April.

In the earlier SINP EOI draw for Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand categories the applicants were invited having work experience in the four occupations, all of which were removed from the list after the draw.

In order to apply for an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination through SINP's Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand sub-category, the applicants must first create and submit an Expression of Interest profile to the SINP. The profile is assessed and ranked on the following factors like education level, work experience, language ability and family, work or study connections to Saskatchewan.

The highest scoring applicants are then invited to apply through regular draws for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.

Express Entry applicant who receives successful provincial nomination receives an additional 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that effectively guarantees them for an invitation to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) allows skilled and qualified workers to come and settle in the province on a permanent basis by applying through different SINP programs.
