Ontario to Implement a New Immigration Agreement 2018

Ontario is all set to implement an immigration agreement aimed to assist Bridge training programs to help new immigrants in identifying and utilizing their skill set in order to meet the Ontario’s market standards. For this, an amount equivalent to $91 million were decided as funding amount.

At the signing ceremony, Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen and Minister of Immigration and Citizenship Laura Albanese marked their presence.

Ontario is the most popular province of Canada that attracts maximum immigrants every year; 10,000 to be precise. This joint agreement between federal and Ontario’s government is thus, a focused step towards development of newly settled immigrants in Ontario and also to increase francophone immigrations in the province.

Minister Laura Albanese expressed his excitement for this agreement and how it is going to add more fullness to Ontario as Immigrant’s popular choice.


Apply for Ontario Immigration Nominee Program

To immigrate to Ontario, the province offers its own provincial nominee program OINP to the skilled workers who are both willing as well as in demand in the province.

OINP’s Express Entry stream is the most sought-after stream for immigrating to the province.

To be eligible for this stream, the applicant has to:

a)      Have an active Express Entry Profile

b)     Have CRS of at least 400 points

c)      Having met additional eligibility requirements as mentioned under the program

Note that these requirements will make you eligible for ‘Nomination’ from Ontario. Do not mistake nomination as your selection to apply for PR visa.
