New Labour Market Priorities Stream draw targets Express Entry candidates with scores ranging from 400 to 450. The Nova Scotia government has issued new invitations to apply for permanent residence to Express Entry candidates for occupation financial auditors or accountants. The draw was conducted on January 24, 2019 under Labour Market Priorities Stream.
The Labour Market Stream was launched previous year that allow Nova Scotia’s Office of Immigration to search the federal Express Entry pool for eligible candidates with work experience in specified occupations.
The first draw of Express Entry invited applicants under National Occupational Classification (NOC) 1111- Financial Auditors and Accountants who have at least five years of work experience, Bachelor’s Degree and CLB 7 or higher.
The tie-break up rule was applied in the January 24 draw where the Express Entry applicants who have submitted their profiles on or after July 1, 2018 with Express Entry ranking score from 400 to 450 were invited by the Nova Scotia government.
The Express Entry is point based system that invites skilled and qualified workers to come and settle in the country on permanent basis. The points are calculated for age, educational qualification, work experience, language ability and adaptability factors. The highest ranking officials are invited to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence through regular invitation rounds.
Whereas Nova Scotia invited applicants with scores potentially as low as 400, the most recent Federal Express Entry draw invited applicants with scores of 443 or above.
The provincial nomination entitles Express Entry applicants with an additional 600 points towards their Express Entry ranking score, effectively assuring an invitation to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence in the next Express Entry invitation round.
Well, the Express Entry profiles are valid for one year but Nova Scotia only considered those applications that were submitted on or after July 1, 2018 in this latest Nova Scotia draw.
