IRCC issues 3750 ITAs with a minimum CRS score of 440, The recent Express Entry draw on August 8, 2018 issued a total of 3,750 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence to applicants with a Comprehensive Ranking System score of 440.
The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System Score (CRS) has been reduced from 441 to 440- the lowest CRS score for an all program draw so far in 2018.
The tie-break rule was applied to invite the applicants in this current draw. The tie-break rule was January 31, 2018, at 00:06:40 UTC. This means that applicants with a CRS score 440 and above who have submitted their profile before the mentioned date and time will receive and ITA this invitation round.
The invitations were issued to 3,750 applicants and this trend of same number of invitations has been constant since June 13, 2018. The year began with two draws of 2,750 ITAs each in January, followed by four draws of 3,000 ITAs each in February and March and four draws of 3,500 ITAs each in April and May.
A total of 50,950 ITAs have been issued so far in 2018. This means it is now only335 ITAs behind 2017’s ITA total of 51,285 at this same point.
The further reduction in the cut off score can be expected in future express entry draws. Thus, the combination of high number of draws, a 440 starting point and higher admissions targets could lead to even more interesting results in future draws.
