A rare Thursday draw conducted on 15th November, 2018 saw Canadian Government issuing 3,900 new invitations to the Express Entry candidates with a high Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) 449. The extremely rare Thursday draw saw the up till high CRS 449 score to invite applicants for Canadian Permanent Residency.
The yesterday draw conducted by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) leaves 8,000 invitations from breaking the Express Entry Record of 86, 023 total invitations of previous year.
The current draw score of CRS 449 was seven points higher than the last Express Entry draw conducted on October 29, 2018 with minimum CRS of 442. The sudden jump in the CRS score for Express Entry candidates is quite a surprise. However, if this scenario continues in the coming months we might see high CRS score with continued large number of invitations.
Though, IRCC trend of issuing 3900 ITAs has been constant since September 5, 2018. The total number of admissions for 2018 has been set by the Canadian Government. This target is set to increase in 2019 with 81, 400, for the year 2020 it is 85, 800 and 88,800 for 2021.
This current draw conducted by IRCC saw tie-break rule where the date and time was September 16, 2018 and time 12:41:42 UTC. This means that all the Express Entry candidates who have applied for Canada PR before September 16, 2018 at 12:41:42 UTC with CRS 449 and above were invited in this current invitation draw by the Canadian Government.
The Express Entry System manages the profiles of the candidates under three programs namely The Federal Skilled Worker Program, The Federal Skilled Trade Program and The Canadian Experience Class.
The eligible candidates are then awarded Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that places them in the Express Entry pool. The candidates with the highest CRS score is then invited by the Canadian Government to apply for permanent residency.
