H-1B Visa Applicants Now Shifting Interest in Canada PR

With the rise in the rejections of HI-B Visa for the United States, the highly skilled and qualified foreign workers are shifting to Canada in search of stability and new opportunities.

The numerous American outlets have published stories in recent days about highly skilled foreign workers living in the US who have already made the move to Canada or are planning to apply for Canada Permanent Resident Visas.

The H1-B applicants say that they have been really impressed with the advanced Canadian Immigration system as compared to what they have experienced in the U.S. The number of visa applications for H1-B visa is on the rise but are not approved. Hence, the visa applicants shift to Canadian Immigration by applying through Express Entry Programs and Provincial Nomination Programs.

The approval rate for H-1B applications has declined as a result dropping by more than 10 percent between 2015 and 2018.

Express Entry Programs was introduced in 2015 with an aim to bring in skilled and qualified workers on a permanent basis to contribute towards their growing economy. The Express Entry system manages the profile in the three categories- The Federal Skilled Worker Program, The Federal Skilled Trade Program, and The Canadian Experience Class.

The applicants with the highest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score are invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence through regular invitation rounds.

The applicants already residing in the United States are ranked third in terms of invitations issued through Express Entry System in 2017; this is the seven percent of the total invitations issued.

Citizens of India received the most invitations in 2017 received 32,310-or 42 percent of total invitations issued that year.

Provincial Nominee Programs

Provincial Nominee Programs is the Canadian Immigration pathway that invites migrants to come and settle in the particular province on a permanent basis. Every province has its own way of nominating the potential applicants. Many of PNP streams also employ points-based approaches to select immigrants and the points are calculated for age, educational qualification, language proficiency, and other factors.

The successful provincial nominations give applicants an additional 600 points towards their overall immigration points score that further increases Canada PR direct chances.

Canadian Immigration offers various PR programs that an applicant may consider depending upon their personal preferences. For further information in this regard, it is suggested to connect with visa and immigration experts of Aptech Global by filling the Canada Immigration Assessment form.
