The Department of Immigration and Border Protection conducted SkillSelect invitation round on June 6, 2018 where the total of 305 invitations were issued to the potential applicants under Australia Skilled Independent Visa subclass 189 and Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Visa Subclass 489.
The number of invites have been constant, 300 invited were given under subclass 189 and 5 invites were given under subclass 489. The applicants with the highest immigration score are invited to apply for the Australian Permanent Residency.
For Subclass 189 visa, 172 applicants have received ITA with 75 points, 100 applicants received ITA with 80 points whereas 28 applicants received ITA with 85 points.
On the other hand, for subclass 489 visa, 3 applicants received ITA with 80 points and 2 applicants received ITA with 85 points.
Total of 15,300 till June 2018 have already got invitation under Australia Skilled independent Visa subclass and 691 invitations are given under Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Subclass 489 visa.
The applicants having minimum immigration score of 75 points and above were invited to apply for Australia Skilled Independent Visa Subclass 189 and the applicants with an immigration score of 80 points and above were invited to apply for Australia Skilled Regional Provisional Subclass 489 Visa.
The below mentioned occupations have been subject to pro rata arrangement because of high levels of demand.
Accountants (2211) and Auditors, Company Secretaries and Corporate Treasures (2212) got ITA at 80 points each. Whereas Electronic Engineer and Industrial, Mechanical and Production engineers and other professional engineers are invited with 75 points each.
Additionally, ICT Business and System Analysts (2611), Software and Applications Programmers (2613), and Computer Network Professionals (2631) are all invited to apply with 75 points.
