On August 22, 2018, IRCC issued a new express entry draw to invite skilled migrants to Canada. This time too, applicants with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 440 were invited to apply. The total numbers of invitation issued were 3750.
The continuous CRS score of 440 happened for the third time in a row. This CRS score is minimum draw score for the year 2018 till date. The CRS score and numbers of invitations in the current draw are same as the previous draw (August 8, 2018)
The express entry draw was conducted with a tie-break up rule, February 21, 2018 at 11:28:03 UTC. This means that applicants who have submitted their profile before specified date and time with a CRS 440 and above were invited to apply in the current express entry draw.
The total number of invitations since June 13, 2018 has been constant with 3750 number. The regular draw after every two weeks inviting large number of people could be the reason behind keeping same CRS score at 440. This may or may not get higher in the next express entry draw.
IRCC till now for 2018 has issued a total of 54,700 ITAs over 17 draws in 2018. These numbers are slightly higher as compared to 2017 where numbers of ITAs issued were 54,487 ITAs.
The Express Entry is a fast-track method of inviting skilled and qualified workers in Canada through three main federal economic immigration categories namely- The Federal Skilled Worker Program, The Federal Skilled Trade Program and the Canadian Experience Class.
The applicants having highest Comprehensive Ranking System Score are invited to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence through regular invitation rounds.
