Changes in the Australian Occupational list for 2020 immigration process

As the department of Employment, skills, Small and Family business has declared its Traffic Light Bulletin last week for December 2019 to February 2020, it leads some changes in the occupations for immigrate to Australia. Occupations like hairdresser, Massage therapist and gardener have been removed and the three personal carer and assistance occupations to be added.

The Traffic Light Bulletin is such kind of proposed changes to the Australia skilled occupational list that are undertaken as per initial labor market analysis. Along with this, it divides the occupations under the following Australian Occupational list:

  • MLTSSL (Medium and long term skill strategic list): This list identifies the occupations in medium and long term.
  • STSOL (Short term Skill Occupation list): This list will be applied in the short term basis.
  • ROL (Regional Occupation list): The list of ROL will be applied on those occupations that are in demand in regional areas of Australian in a medium and long term basis.
