British Columbia issued 31 new invitations under its tech pilot draw on August 1, 2018. The invitations were issued to qualified skill immigration and Express Entry Candidates having job offer in any of 29 key technology related occupations.
The applicants in both Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) Skilled Worker and International Graduate Categories were invited with score of 91 in the province’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRs).
Skilled Immigration applicants in the international graduate category with a score of 91 were also issued invitations as were skills immigration candidates in the skilled worker category with SIRS score of minimum 84 points.

The tech pilot stream was launched in 2017 to attract and retain skilled workers and international graduates having skills required by the province’s technology sector. The pilot stream was last updated in June 2018 and extended until June 2019.
The candidates receiving provincial nomination from British Columbia are entitled to receive 600 additional points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
The interested applicants for British Columbia PNP must first submit an online profile with the BC PNP’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) and complete the application form. The applicant gets score for their age, educational qualification, work experience, language ability and other factors.
