The British Columbia Immigration Department invited 472 Express Entry and Skills Immigration applicants to apply for provincial nomination in a new invitation round held on October 17, 2018. The invitations are given to the applicants under its Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC streams.
This invitation round has given the maximum number of invitations in this year so far.
The candidates under following categories were invited in this round:
The current invitation round gave invitations to the candidates with high points as compared to the previous draws.
The periodic draws conducted by British Columbia issues invitations to apply for immigration to the candidates with highest scores under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). The profile when completed through SIRS is assigned a score based on the various factors like age, education, work experience etc.
The British Columbia Provincial Nomination Express Entry is aligned with the federal government’s Express Entry system that manages the applicants in the three main economic immigration categories- The Federal Skilled Worker Program, The Federal Skilled Trade Program, and The Canadian Experience Class.
The selected candidates receive 600 additional points towards overall Comprehensive Ranking System Score.
The applicants under BCPNP Skill Immigration Stream are processed separately from the Express Entry System by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada.
The candidates getting invitation by BCPNP are required to have a job-offer letter from BC employer in one of the 29 occupations under BC PNP tech pilot stream.
