The government of Australia has offered special visa package for regions facing skill shortage. The Australian regions with niche shortage of skills have been identified for these visas.
SBS News also quoted that the Government is repeatedly under pressure from business and industry stakeholders to cater the shortage of skilled workers.
Till now 322 special labour agreements are already in place in Australia by specific industries and business. The minister for Citizenship, Alan Tudge said the government plans to go a step further. The deals will be based on locations of the regions for special visa package.
The special package is based on the skill shortages that cannot be filled by the local workers of Australia. These must also not include in the list of skills shortages. There are 600 plus occupations that qualify for Australia Skilled Visas.
The firms in Australia must demonstrate their inability to hire local workers via national advertisement.
The aged care centre in Melbourne ‘Fronditha Care’ is amongst the several businesses that have received the special visas to cater to the shortage of workers. The program is similar to other skilled visa programs in Australia.
