The Australian State and Territories have been opening their visa nomination programs lately over the last month with many new interesting changes. The Australian government authorities are also working on the upcoming closure of visa skilled regional subclass 489.

Tasmania will focus on inviting applicants through visa subclass 489 prior to closure of this visa. They encourage all applicants for this stream to ensure they lodge nomination by early August so that the applications are processed before its closing date 10 September.
The Western Australia Skilled Migration Occupation List remains restricted to medical occupations while the Graduates list offers a wider range of occupations particularly those who have completed PhD studies in the state.
