A number of essential changes have been occurred for visa issuance and benefits for the year 2020. Here is all what you need to know.
Immigration point Score
Chasing high immigration points has always been a common situation for most aspiring immigrants.
According to Migration law, 65 is the minimum points that you are required to meet before you submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). Although, getting an invitation to apply is more difficult due to high talented applicants who have expressed their Interest.
Candidates who scored 90 or 85 immigration points are given as first priority over the one who have only received 65 points. It does not mean that they are unqualified but the timing of lodgment also taken into consideration.
The year of 2020 can be good year for student visa holders, as they can take advantage of extra points of 10 points for being single, 10 points for having a skilled partner or de facto partner with competent English (5 points) and 10 points for having certain STEM qualifications. They can also avail 15 extra points by getting a nomination from State territory Government or sponsorship from eligible family members living in regional Australia.
New Australia Visas
The new Subclass visa 491 Skilled work regional (provisional) has been introduced to attract more immigrants to fill the skill shortages in Regional Australia. EOI applications are expected to rise in this year amid permanent migration ceiling drop.
