As per the latest Australia immigration updates, these two changes have taken place:
- DIBP have changed its name
- Increase in Financial requirements for Australia’s Student Visa
The details are discussed below:
DIBP (Department of Immigration and Border Protection) has undergone a name change on 20th December, 2017. Now, the body will be called Department of Home Affairs.
This is because an amalgamation is involved among Australia's immigration agencies, federal law enforcement, national and transport security and criminal justice and emergency management.
This may result in tighter inspection for Australia immigration scene. If or not the information provided by the applicant is true, if or not the intention behind applying for Australia visa is genuine, etc.-these aspects can go by a closer look now.
Further, alterations for Student Visa funds requirement has been made. This is now to be taken care of, that the student applying for Australia’s student visa is having enough funds to sustain himself/herself during his/her stay in the country.
It has also been alleged that more changes are on its way which is certainly going to make no room for error and scope of deceitful practices.
