265 Invitations Issued to Indians under the GTI Program, Australia

On November 4, 2020, DHA (Department of Home Affairs) issued invitations to over 265 Indian candidates who applied under the GTI program (Global Talent Independent Program), Australia. The candidates who applied between January 1 and September 9, 2020 this year were issued invitations on November 4, 2020.

The Global Talent independent Program was officially launched on November 4, 2010, aiming to attract the eyeballs of the best talent from all across the globe that are talented enough to contribute towards the economic development of the Australian continent. It is a simplified pathway for all the overseas skilled professionals who want to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis. The main aim behind the introduction of this program is to attract the skilled workers to contribute in the top and future-focused fields of Australia.

The main industries covered under the Global Talent Independent program are:

  • FinTech
  • MedTech
  • Cyber Security
  • Space and Advanced manufacturing
  • Agtech
  • Advance Digital, Quantum information, Data Science and ICT
  • Mining and Energy Technology

GTI is the fastest pathway to get Australia’s Permanent residency. Well, the processing time depends entirely on the DHA (Department of Home Affairs). To be eligible under this program, an applicant is required to have a salary above the set income threshold of $153,600 and must have a nominator in support of their submitted application.

So, applicants who fulfill the above-mentioned eligibility criteria can submit their EOI (Expression of Interest) using the Global Talent Visa Form and are required to have a nominator to support their application.

If EOI is selected, the applicant will receive a unique identifier and will be able to submit the application under the Distinguished Talent Visa (subclass 124) for those who are outside Australia and Distinguished Talent Visa (subclass 858) for those who are outside the lands down under at the time of lodging an EOI.

So, the candidates who want to apply must keep in mind that the rules for the GTI visa are very stringent. So, a candidate needs to keep a vigilant eye so that everything goes as smooth as the flowing water. The importance of this program is increasing as Australia is all set to welcome the skilled immigrants who can bring the economy back on its track.

Do you want to move to Australia by applying under the Global Talent Independent Program in 2021? Well, meet the requirements and apply under this streamlined program so that you can accomplish your goal of getting Australian PR. Best of luck!
