The Saskatchewan Express Entry stream selects highly skilled persons who wish to live and work in Saskatchewan permanently. The candidates who are not picked under federal government’s program, express entry, can be considered by Saskatchewan provincial government under Saskatchewan Express Entry stream. Eligibility requirements: To apply under Saskatchewan Express Entry, you must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Your profile should be in demand in the labour market of Saskatchewan.
  • You must score minimum 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid which is based on six selection factors viz, age, education, work experience, language expertise, adaptability and arranged employment.
  • You must prove your written, spoken, reading and listening language ability in English or French
  • Must have a high-school diploma, post-secondary certificate or degree that is valid and equal to a Canadian equivalent.
  • Must have at least 1 year of skilled work experience;
    1. in the past 10 years in a skilled profession (non-trades).
    2. in a skilled trade in the past five years.
    3. in Canada in the past three years (trades and non-trades).
  • Your profile or occupation in which you have 1 year of skilled experience, must be mentioned in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) Matrix level "A", "B" or "0"
  • You must submit proof of funds on the pretext of having enough financial resources to successfully settle in Saskatchewan after migrating.

Who Can't Apply Through the Saskatchewan Express Entry?

  • The Refugee claimants in Canada claiming refugee status from the Government of Canada are not eligible to apply for the program.
  • Those candidates who are not accepted into the Express Entry pool, are also not eligible to apply for the above program.

Documentation Requirement:

The applicant need to take care of the following document requirement:

  • Express entry profile number and job seeker validation code: You can only apply under SINP if your application lies in express entry pool. You need to confirm this by submitting your express entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
  • Language credentials: You need to prove your language proficiency by undergoing a valid language test say, IELETS or TEF. In the Canadian language benchmark (CLB) you must be at level 4 for speaking, listening, reading and writing and your test results must not be more than two years old on the date you file your application.
  • Educational certificates: You must submit your educational credentials i.e., a high-school diploma, post-secondary certificate or degree that is valid and equal to a Canadian equivalent.
  • Work experience: You must submit a valid work experience document which is compulsorily be printed on company letterhead or the applicant’s official work book. Other documents which are required to be submitted includes a letter of reference from the supervisor or Human Resources Officer. Each letter should include the following:
    1. Your job position and date of joining and relieving;
    2. Your main duties, role and responsibilities in the organisation;
    3. The number of hours you worked each week if the position was not full-time; and,
    4. The contact details of your supervisor or manager.
  • Proof of funds: You need to show that you are having enough amount of liquid funds with you, to support yourself and your family after landing in Saskatchewan. You can show documental proofs of the following funds:
    1. Savings accounts
    2. Bonds
    3. Certificates of Deposit
    4. Mutual Funds
    5. Provident Funds
    6. Stocks
    7. Tax Free Savings Accounts (TFSAs)
    8. Term deposits and time deposits
    9. Treasury Bills
  • Police report: You and every member of your family who is 18 years of age and older and is not permanent residents or Canadian citizens must provide a valid police certificate from local police for each country other than Canada, in which you have spent six or more months since the age of 18.
