Invites are also given to Labour Impact and Business Impact Category
The province of Prince Edward issued 169 invitations in a new draw announced on 19 April, 2018. Out of 169 invitations, 75 invites were given to the Express Entry candidates.
This is the third draw under Prince Edward Island’s Expression of Interest System. The 169 invitations are given to the candidates of 27 countries, India being one of them.
The office of Immigration said that the Express Entry candidates invited are either working in the PEI province or are a post-graduate from one of their institutions. The invitations score ranged from 37 to 87 points.
The candidates under Express Entry who wish to apply under the PEI Express Entry category must create a profile in the PEI expression of Interest system. The points are awarded out of 100 on the basis of properly assessing the profile on the six selection factors namely age, education, language requirements, work experience, employment and adaptability.
The invitations have also been issued to the labour Impact and Business impact category with 77 candidates getting invitations in PEI’s Labour Impact Category and 17 in Business Impact category. The score range of applicants under Labour Impact category was from 22 to 85 whereas, for Business Impact Category it ranged from 135 to 155. find out Prince Edward Island PNP
Who gets Invitations under Labour Impact Category?
The applicants who possess skills and experience which is in high demand in PEI’s labour market can apply under labour Impact Category. There are three streams in this category: Skilled Workers, Critical workers, and International Graduates.
Business Impact category also has three streams namely 100% Ownership, Partial Ownership and Work Permit.
Although, the department didn’t mentioned the breakdown of the number of candidates invited under each stream of Labour Impact Category and Business Impact Category.
The canddidates invited under Express Entry Stream have 90 days from the invitation date to submit a complete application to the province office of immigration. An additional 600 CRS points are awarded to those applicants who are nominated by the PEI which makes better chances for them to receive an Invitation to Apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.
