The Ontario Immigrant Nominee program (OINP) will soon commence a two year Regional Immigration Pilot program for the year 2020. The program will aid to fill the labor market needs requirements in the small and rural communities that are not currently being met.
While developing the pilot program, feedbacks are taken by Stakeholders from rural and small communities across the Ontario province. Under this, the communities will be selected on the basis of their particular skills challenges, ability of newcomers of being settled and the interest from community stakeholders.

The Government of Ontario will collaboratively work with stakeholders in the three pilot programs to spread awareness and to increase the program uptake. The work will include in-person training sessions along with local employers and informational webinars at local employer conferences or events.
The program of pilot will also include approximately 150 nominations under the streams of Ontario PNP employer job offer Category. Outcomes that are taken from this pilot program will further improve to regionalize the economic immigration in Ontario.
