Within a week, Ontario conducted rounds of invites through these streams, twice. Through French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream (FSSW) Ontario issued 34 invitations, while through Skilled Trades Stream (STS), 29 invitations has been issued.

Up till now, a total of 366 NOIs were issued by the province under its French- Speaking Skilled Worker Stream and another 488 NOIs through Skilled Trades Streams.

Both of these steams, mainly directed invites towards Express Entry candidates who have submitted their profiles latest by 1st of January and by 18th of April, 2018.

What is French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream?

The French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream is specially designed for intake of French speaking people in order to meet the francophone immigration targets in the province. These targets has been set to increase the French-speaking population outside of Quebec (which is the only French-speaking province of Canada).

Thus, the program intakes those candidates from the pool who are having French language proficiency along with English language proficiency.

What to do after getting NOI from Ontario?

Those Candidates who has received Notification of Interest from Ontario can now claim extra CRS of 600 points.

Note that an NOI shall not be confused with an invitation from Canada to apply for PR visa. It is in fact a nomination from Ontario province of Canada which makes you eligible for extra points and thus selection at the subsequent Express Entry Draws.
