Nova Scotia Issued Invitations To The Express Entry Candidates On March 29th, 2021

On March 29th, 2021 the province of Nova Scotia issued invitations to Express Entry Candidates to apply for the provincial nomination in order for them to apply for the Canada’ permanent residence. The province issued the nomination via the Labour Market Priorities Stream within the Nova Scotia Nomination Program.

The latest draw which was held on the 30th March 2021, the letters of interest were issued to the candidates who chose French as their first language with the minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of minimum 9 or higher in all French language abilities. The abilities included the dimensions of reading, writing, listening and speaking.

The candidates who had at least a score of 7 in all English language abilities were not disappointed. They were also invited provided that they are able to provide a Bachelor’s degree or completed a program at a university, college, technical or trading school for at least three years or more.

The number of candidates and the minimum CRS score of the invitations have not been disclosed. The candidates’ future proceedings are subject to a valid Express entry number and minimum criteria for the successful acceptance by the pool.  The application process has to be finished within 30 calendar days. The deadline to complete the application process before is 11:59 p.m., April 28, 2021.

The NSNP was launched in 2018 and since then the province has held 16 Labour Market Priorities Stream draws including this one also.

Express Entry is a Federal government operated pool to maintain the applications pertaining to permanent residence. The Express Entry works for the three main economic class immigration programs:

  • Federal Skills Workers Program (FSWP);
  • Federal Skills Trades Program (FSTP); and
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

Provincial nomination increases the strike rate for a profile to get selected in the Express entry pool since it provides additional 600 points.
