On December 1, 2020, the province of Nova Scotia conducted its latest draw. The province issued invitations to the candidates who had submitted their applications under the Labour Market Priorities Immigration stream of Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NSNP). Well, in the latest draw, the number of invitations issued was not disclosed.
The Labour Capital Priorities stream of Nova Scotia PNP is one of the best Nova Scotia PNP streams which invited express entry candidates who had their valid profiles in the federal express entry system. This stream is entirely based on the current market and labour needs of the province of Nova Scotia.
Post receiving a provincial nomination from the province of Nova Scotia, a candidate can apply for permanent residency to the Federal government of Canada. The labour market priorities stream is aligned with express entry, so the candidates who receive a nomination in the latest draw will also get 600 additional points that will further ace up the game of immigration, as it will guarantee an invitation from the IRCC to apply for Canada’s Permanent Residence.
The invitations issued by Nova Scotia on December 1, 2020 went to the eligible express entry candidates who had a valid job offer from an employer in Nova Scotia. Also, the jobs offer must be full-time, paid and must be for a period of 12 months at least. Also, the candidates are required to have at least one year of skilled work experience related to the job and must have a Canadian secondary school diploma or any other degree equivalent to that.
Last but not least, the candidates who want to receive a provincial nomination under the labour market priorities stream must have at least CLB 5 in all the four abilities (be it English or French). In order to become eligible to receive a nomination from Nova Scotia through the labour market priorities stream, candidates must have a valid profile in the Federal express entry program.
