The province of Manitoba conducted its third Expression of Interest draw in less than three weeks on March 1, inviting 403 skilled workers to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada Permanent Resident Visa. The total of invitations number tally so far has reached 2,267 under Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). Those invited had an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile registered with the MPNP under its Skilled Worker Overseas, Skilled Worker in Manitoba or International Education Stream.
The current draw saw 216 skilled workers overseas candidates with an EOI score of 565 received LAAs. Another 41 skilled worker overseas candidates received LAAs through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative. These initiatives include overseas recruitment missions conducted by the MPNP. The lowest-ranked candidate invited had an EOI score of 621.
The Express Entry candidates who received an LAA were required to have a valid Express Entry ID and job-seeker validation code and at least six months of recent work experience in a profession on Manitoba’s in-demand occupations list.
The selected candidates who receive a provincial nomination from the Manitoba province are awarded an additional 600 points towards their overall Express Entry ranking score. This score will effectively increase an invitation to apply chances for Canadian Permanent Residence.
Invitations are given under Skilled Workers in Manitoba and International Education stream
The Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program has also issued 126 invitations to Skilled Workers in Manitoba candidates having a score of 566 and above
The Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream is for eligible qualified temporary foreign workers and international student graduates who are currently working in Manitoba under Manitoba employer on a permanent basis.
Additionally, 20 invitations were also given to International Education Stream candidates. This stream is a faster pathway to permanent residence for international graduates of Manitoba institutions who have skills required by the employers in the province.
Therefore, to apply for Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program, the first step required is to create an EOI profile. This includes an applicant who already have a profile registered under the Federal Express Entry System.
The candidates with the highest EOI score are issued Letters of Advice to Apply through regular invitation rounds.
