New Express Entry CRS Score Drops Two Points In March 20 Draw

The new Express Entry invitation round results were conducted on March 20, 2019, inviting 3,350 candidates with the cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 452 and above to apply for permanent residency of Canada.
The cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score 452 is a reduction of two points over the minimum score in the previous Express Entry draw held March 6.
A total of 21,200 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in 2019 is issued so far by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This is an increase of 6,700 over the 14,500 ITAs that Canada had issued at this same time in 2018- a year of IRCC issue a record of 89,800 invitations to Express Entry candidates.
The current invitation round applied tie-break rule that was set on February 7, 2019, at 9:59:25 UTC. This means that all candidates with a CRS score of 452 or above who entered in the express entry pool.
The cut-off CRS score has now dropped twice over the last two invitation rounds which may have resulted from the fact that there are chances of CRS going down if the invitation results are conducted consequently.
It is also anticipated that IRCC will set a new ITA record this year with higher 2019 and 2020 admission targets for the three Federal High Skilled Economic Immigration Categories managed by the Express Entry System- The Federal Skilled Worker Program, The Federal Skilled Trade Program, and The Canadian Experience Class.
The eligible applicants are then entered into the Express Entry pool where they are ranked according to the several factors like age, educational qualification, work experience, and language ability factors. The highest ranking applicant is then invited to apply for Canada PR through regular CIC draws.
