New Brunswick Announces New Express Entry Labour Market Stream For Foreign Skilled Migrants

Posted On: Fri, Dec 27 2019

The New Brunswick introduced a new stream called ‘Express Entry Labour market stream' on July 26, 2019, to invite candidates directly from the federal Express Entry pool as per the provincial labour-market needs. The program is introduced in partnership with the Government of New Brunswick and the Government of Canada.

This is for the very first time that the New Brunswick province will contact candidates already in the express entry pool to invite them to apply directly for New Brunswick Express Entry program.

The invited candidates must also meet the regular eligibility requirements of the program to become eligible for New Brunswick Express Entry Labour Market Stream.

To apply for NBPNP you are required to submit an expression of interest (EOI) that will accept EOIs to the Express Entry Labour Market Stream (EE LMS) from the first of every month until the 15th of each month. On 16th of every month, the province will review the EOIs and highest-ranking applicant will be selected to apply to the EE LMS.

The province will notify the selected candidates through an email inviting them to submit a full application to the EEMS.

Those candidates who have work experience in an occupation that is needed by the province and the workers who can establish their ability to support the province economically will be prioritized by the New Brunswick.

The rest criteria for selection have not been made public, with the province stating it will contact Express Entry candidates “in response to provincial labour-market needs.”

The province of New Brunswick is currently accepting the Expression of Interest (EOI)s for Express Entry program who meet all of the following submission criteria:

  • Applicant must have submitted the express entry profile and should have a valid Federal Express Entry profile number and a job seeker validation code
  • Applicant must be living and working in New Brunswick along with a letter of employment from the New Brunswick employer
  • Applicants who have an occupation listed on NOC 0, A or B are eligible to apply for NB EEMS
  • Applicants with CLB 7 in all four language competencies
  • Applicants with valid ECA report test results
