To distinguish between candidates who receive the same score on the Entrepreneur stream point grid, Saskatchewan gives priority to three selection criteria.

Following are the three factors in order of importance:

  1. Fluency in an official language.
  2. Those planning firms are in a crucial industry.
  3. The conclusion of an investigational visit.

What are the requirements for SINP Entrepreneur Streams?

The following minimal entrance conditions must be met by the declaration of interest:

  • A legally acquired net worth of at least $500,000.
  • Three years or more of relevant management or entrepreneurial experience.
  • A minimum investment of $200,000 in any other Saskatchewan region, or $300,000 in Regina or Saskatoon.

Candidates are given a score after entering a pool. The applicants who received the highest scores are invited to submit them.

Applications need to contain:

  • A business establishment plan that confirms the information in the expression of interest and, unless the investment is $1 million or more, includes at least one-third ownership of a Saskatchewan-based company.
  • Dedication to actively participate in day-to-day business management.
  • If the company is located in Regina or Saskatoon, the creation of two or more jobs for Canadian citizens or Canada permanent residents.

How to apply for SINP Entrepreneur Stream?

Four steps are involved:

  1. Submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the SINP
  2. Selection of EOIs and Request to Submit an Application
  • The EOI of a candidate is chosen based on points. During each draw, the participants with the most points are chosen. The number chosen is determined by the needs of the program.
  • Applications are handled in the order they are received once candidates are invited to apply.
  1. Business Institution
  2. Nomination

No application receives special consideration under the SINP. All applicants must fulfill the requirements of the program. The SINP does not support any businesses or initiatives established in Saskatchewan.
