January’s New Express Entry Draw Reaches Tally 11,150 ITAs[Published Sat, Dec 07 2019]
The new Express Entry draw conducted by Canadian Government invited Express Entry candidates with a minimum 16 month low Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score of 438, which is a five-point reduction over the previous invitation round conducted on January 23 and the lowest minimum score through Canada’s Express Entry system since October 4, 2017.
The current draw was conducted on January 30, 2019 saw the number of invitations issued to 3,350 applicants bringing this month total to 11,150 the biggest start to a year in the Express Entry system’s five year history.
A tie-break rule was applied by IRCC in this January 30 draw. The tie-break date and time was April 26, 2018 at 05:00:46 UTC. This means that applicants whose profile were in the express entry pool before the said date and time with a CRS score 438 and above received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) by the Canadian Government.
The high number of ITAs reflects the Canadian higher immigration admission targets for 2019 and 2020 most of them whom are processed through the Express Entry system. In order to meet the new immigration targets for 2019 and 2020, it is speculated that IRCC will issue more number of ITAs over the course of this year.
The Express Entry system manages the pool of candidates for Canada’s three Federal High Skilled Economic Immigration Programs namely- The Federal Skilled Worker Program, The Federal Skilled Trade Program and The Canadian Experience Class.
The potential migrants who meet the eligibility requirements for these categories are ranked according to the factors based on age, education, work experience, language ability and adaptability factors. The regular draws are conducted and the highest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score applicant is invited to apply.
If you are planning to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence, now is the perfect time to start your immigration process as the country requires more skilled and qualified workers to come and contribute towards the growing economy.
