The New Year has again streamlined the entire Canada Immigration process. Now, the maple country is returning back to its previous track i.e. conducting alternate draws between PNP and CEC candidates. Isn’t it good news that slowly and steadily everything is coming back on its track! The second express entry invitation round was held in just two days. Isn’t it a positive indication that despite all the havoc created by the Global pandemic, the maple country is still exerting efforts on normalizing the things?
A total of 4,750 candidates who submitted their profiles under the Canadian Experience Class immigration stream of Federal express entry program were sent an invitation to apply from the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) for Canada’s permanent residence. The candidates who received an invitation needed a CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score of 461 which means that the candidates are required to have 461 scores or more in the CRS calculator.
Before this draw, the maple country also conducted express entry draw as per which it issued 250 invitations to the PNP candidates who applied under the enhanced streams i.e. express entry via PNP. The candidates who received an invitation from Express entry PNP draw were awarded with 600 additional points towards their CRS, that’s the reason the CRS cut-off was set at 813.
You all know that express entry is an online mechanism to select the deserving candidates who are skilled and talented and moreover, are interested in starting a new life in the maple country. The draw held on January 7, 2021 was inclined towards inviting the candidates who applied under the Canadian Experience class of Canada express entry.
A tie-breaking rule was implemented which is used to rank the candidates with the same CRS scores. Selection depends upon the date and time, when the candidates created their express entry profiles. The tie-breaking was implemented for September 12, 2020 at 14:15:32 UTC which means that the candidates who applied prior to the given date were given an invitation by the IRCC to apply for Canada’s permanent residence.
The latest express entry draw brings the total number of invitations issued to a total of 5,000 in January 2021. After all, nothing is better than welcoming New Year by issuing invitations to a total of 5,000 candidates.
