Canada's Express Entry linked provincial nominee programs have seen an impressive jump in the number of invitations. This means in the five days alone more than 1,400 Express Entry candidates have been contacted by Canada's province to apply for a provincial nomination.
Many provinces invited applicants through Canada Express Entry stream to come and settle in the country on a permanent basis. The successful Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination receive an additional 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that further boosts the Canadian Immigration chances.
This week Canada invited more than 1,400 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination issued to Express Entry candidates in two draws held through Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream and Nova Scotia’s Labour Market Priorities Stream.
Ontario for the first time targeted 10 occupations in the current Human Capital Priorities draw issued Notifications of Interest to 1,072 Express Entry candidates with CRS scores ranging from 439 to 469.
On the other hand, Nova Scotia conducted the draw on June 3 and issued Letters of Interest to 312 Express Entry candidates under Labour Market Priorities Stream having eligible work experience as early childhood educators and assistants. This was the second time that targeted early childhood educators. The stream also targeted financial auditors and accounts and Express Entry candidates whose first language is French.
Candidates invited through Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program
Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program invited applicants recently through its Alberta Express Entry Stream. A total of 316 Notifications of Interest were given to Express Entry candidates in May.
The stream prioritizes applicants having strong ties to Alberta or who are considered capable of supporting the province’s “economic development and diversification priorities.”
Expression of Interest Streams
Apart from passive streams, there are many Canadian provinces having Express Entry-linked streams that allow candidates to express their interest or submit applications. The province like Saskatchewan has its own unique pool of candidates who also have profiles in the federal express entry pool.
Other streams like Prince Edward Island and Manitoba also invited candidates from their own pool in recently concluded invitations.
Increase in PNP intake
The provinces of Canada since the start of May has given opportunities to more than 2,000 express entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through streams in seven provinces- British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia.
It is anticipated that over the next three years Canada might receive as many as 213,000 new permanent residents through the PNP alone.
Canadian Immigration offers various PNP programs for the migrants to come and settle in the respective province on a permanent basis. Check your eligibility chances by filling the Canada Immigration Assessment form.
