The British Columbia province announced June 3 the extension of Tech Pilot until June 2020. The tech pilot was introduced in 2017 with an aim to bring international talent to the province. The weekly draw issue invitations to candidates in the skilled workers and international graduate categories of both the BC PNP's Skills Immigration and Express Entry B.C streams.
The applicants applying for British Columbia Provincial Nomination Program must have a job offer in one of the 29 eligible pilot occupations that are at least one year in duration.
The selected Express Entry candidates who apply for and receive a provincial nomination British Columbia receive an additional 600 points towards their ranking score and are applied for Canadian Permanent Residence.
The BC PNP said it is extending the pilot “to provide B.C. tech employers with the continued ability to recruit and retain international talent.”
