British Columbia PNP Points
The BC PNP (British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program) uses a points-based system to assess the eligibility of candidates for permanent residency in the province. The points system is designed to identify and select candidates who have the skills, education, work experience, language proficiency, and other factors that are important for the provincial economy.
You can calculate your British Columbia PNP Points by using the BC PNP points calculator. The BC PNP points-based system consists of the following factors:
Skill Level of the Job Offer: Candidates can receive up to 60 points for the skill level of their job offer, with higher scores for jobs in NOC (National Occupation Classification) skill levels A and B.
The wage of the Job Offer: Candidates can receive up to 50 points for the wage of their job offer, with higher scores for higher wages.
Work Experience: Candidates can receive up to 25 points for their work experience, with higher scores for more years of experience.
Education: Candidates can receive up to 25 points for their education, with higher scores for higher levels of education.
Language Proficiency: Candidates can receive up to 30 points for their language proficiency in English and/or French.
Age: Candidates can receive up to 10 points for their age, with higher scores for younger candidates.
Arranged Employment: Candidates can receive up to 10 points for having a valid job offer from a BC employer.
Adaptability: Candidates can receive up to 10 points for their adaptability factors such as previous study or work experience in BC, having a close family member in BC, and having sufficient settlement funds.

Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 80 points out of 200 to be eligible for the BC PNP program. However, meeting the minimum score does not guarantee an invitation to apply for permanent residency through the program, as the BC PNP selection process is competitive and based on the needs of the provincial economy.
