To apply for the Skills immigration stream, a candidate has to register in the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS), which is the online system managing the Skills immigration applications related to the British Columbia immigration. A full-time job offer from the BC employer is necessary before applying for the SIRS.

For the Express Entry BC, an interested candidate has to make an Express entry profile and submit all the information required in the Express Entry profile along with nominating BC as a preferred province for Canada immigration. The province of British Columbia explores the federal Express entry pool to scrutinize BC PNP candidates profiles which have the right skills required to contribute in the labour market of the British Columbia province and invites them to apply for the Canada PR through the IRCC.
