British Columbia issued 27 new invitations in its latest tech-focused draw to apply under provincial nomination on MAY 23, 2018. The invitations were issued to eligible British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) applicants who have a valid job offer in one of its Tech Pilot programs consisting of 32 key technology occupations.
BCPNP introduced its Tech Pilot program in 2017 with an aim to assist the province’s technology sector by attracting and retaining foreign tech workers and international students who have studied in BC or elsewhere in Canada and have the required skills and experience to work in BC’s technology sector.
The EEBC-skilled worker and EEBC-International Graduate got invitation to apply with 91 points; SI- Skilled worker got Invitation to apply on 86 points; SI- International Graduate got invitation with 92 points and SI-Entry level and Semi-Skilled workers got invitation with 60 points.
The applicants under BC’s Express Entry streams receive 600 additional points to be added to their overall Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, if they get an approval for provincial nomination from the BC government.
The applicants who are invited in the Skills Immigration categories to apply for permanent residence applications are processed outside the Express Entry System.
If an applicant is interested to migrate to Canada through BC PNP must first submit an online profile with BC PNP and after the profile is accessed, an applicant receive scores on the basis of civil status, language requirement, and other factors.
To apply for BC PNP an applicant must have an intermediate, full-time job offer from an employer in the province to be eligible for many migration visas streams under BC PNP.
