BC PNP Issued 92 Invitations In The Latest Tech Pilot Draw

In the latest tech pilot draw held by the province of British Columbia on December 15, 2020, 92 invitations were issued to the candidates who applied under the skilled immigration and express entry BC categories. The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued invitations through the two BC PNP streams such as Express entry BC (EEBC) and skilled immigration (SI) streams.

The candidates who received an invitation in the latest BC PNP tech pilot draw must have a valid job offer in any one of the 29 eligible occupations released by the province of British Columbia such as computer information system managers, system managers, civil engineers, web designers and developers. The minimum scores required for the candidates to receive a nomination are 80 for all the categories. Creating a valid profile through BC PNP’s online portal and registering you under the SIRS i.e. Skilled Immigration Registration System is a must if you wish to apply under the skilled immigration and Express entry BC categories.

Post creating a profile in the portal, it is evaluated on the basis of certain parameters such as level of education, work experience, age, language proficiency and many more. The invitations issued in the latest tech pilot draw are 24 more than the previous tech pilot draw held on December 1, 2020. Despite the ongoing pandemic, more and more draws are held by the provinces, which is a clear and a positive indication that Canada still needs more immigrants.

The candidates who received a nomination via the express entry BC streams are awarded with 600 additional points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Scores. The Tech pilot draw is held by the province of British Columbia every week.
