BC PNP Issued 100 Invitations In The Latest Tech Pilot Draw Held On October 20, 2020

On October 20, 2020, the province of British Columbia conducted its latest tech pilot draw as per which it sent invitations to 80 candidates who applied under the Skilled Immigration and Express Entry candidates. A total of 80 candidates were sent an invitation under the skilled worker subcategories.

The points of the lowest-ranked candidate under both the categories were 80. Also, 20 invitations were issued to the candidates who applied under the British Columbia’s Entrepreneur Program. Out of the 20 candidates, 15 invitations were issued under the Entrepreneur Immigration Base Category and the remaining 5 were issued under the Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot Category.

The minimum points of the lowest ranked candidates under the Base category are 122 and under the regional pilot category are 109. Tech Pilot Draws are held by the province of British Columbia every week through which the candidates with job offers in the 29 eligible occupations are given an invitation to apply for the provincial nomination from the province.

The main ideology behind the introduction of the Tech Pilot program is to provide great assistance to the technology sector of British Columbia so that more and more IT professionals are invited who can contribute towards bridging the gap that exists in the labor market of Canada.

So, all the candidates who want to become eligible to apply under the Tech Pilot Program must be registered under any of the BC’s existing PNP streams and must possess a valid job offer for 12 months in any one of the 29 occupations. All the candidates who applied under the Express Entry Category of the BC PNP are awarded with an additional 600 points.
