The province of British Columbia conducted new tech pilot draw to invite applicants for provincial nomination on November 28, 2018 under Express Entry and Skill Immigration.
The invitations were given to the applicants who had one year of full-time work experience in one of 29 in-demand technology occupations.
The latest tech pilot round gave 42 invitations to the applicants registered in the Express Entry British Columbia Skilled Worker and International Graduate Categories.

The selected applicants under British Columbia receive a provincial nomination that further awards an additional 600 points towards the overall Express Entry ranking score.

In order to apply for any of these categories through BC PNP, you must register online with the province’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
The Candidates are awarded a score on the basis of education, work experience, and language proficiency. The highest ranking candidates are invited to apply in a weekly tech pilot draws.
The selected applicants get 30 days time from the date of receiving the invitation to submit a complete application and processing fee to the BC PNP.
The other candidates invited under Skill Immigration categories have their application processed directly by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) separate from the Express Entry System.
