What's the procedure for the Alberta Express Entry Stream?

The Provincial Nominee Program has been improved with the Alberta Express Entry stream (PNP). It enables the provincial government to look up candidate profiles in the federal government's Express Entry pool that might qualify for a provincial nomination.

Express Entry is used to manage applications for all three Federal High Skilled programs -- Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program, and Federal Skilled Trades Program.

You will receive a score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System if you are qualified for Express Entry (CRS). You receive points based on your age, level of schooling, employment history, and proficiency in either French or English, among other things.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), Canada's immigration agency, regularly runs Express Entry lotteries and invites the top-scoring applicants to apply for permanent residency.

Without a provincial nomination, it is feasible to apply for immigration through the Express Entry system; however, applicants with lower CRS scores may choose to do so. The overall score of provincial nominees is automatically increased by 600 points. The lowest-scoring applicants in the most recent Alberta draw who are nominated will have fresh CRS scores of 900, which is more than enough to be invited to the next Express Entry draw.

Eligibility for the Alberta Express Entry Stream

  1. You must have work experience in an eligible occupation to be eligible for the provincial nomination through the Alberta Express Entry stream.
  2. The AINP presents a list of occupations that are not qualified for the stream rather than a list of occupations that are. In addition to cooking, transport truck driving, and supervising food services, many applicants are in this stream.
  3. Your chances of being nominated are increased by things like work experience, Canadian education, and job offers in Alberta. Having a parent, child, or sibling who already resides in Alberta is also advantageous.
