The province of Alberta has conducted the new latest draw held June 21 through its popular Express Entry aligned provincial nomination stream. A total of 262 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) were issued to the applicants with the score as low as 300. The cut-off score of 300 in Alberta’s June 21 invitation round is relatively lower than the previous cut-off score draws conducted through the Express Entry system this year. The CRS draw lowest score for Express Entry System was 332 in a Federal Skilled Trades only on May 15 and the lowest cut-off score in the all-programs draw was 438.
The selected candidates under the Alberta Express Entry stream were having the work experience in an occupation that supports “Alberta’s economic development and diversification priorities.” Though, the Government of Alberta has not listed the occupations that are eligible.

The June 21 draw brings the total number of Express Entry candidates invited to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian Permanent Residence through Alberta Express Entry stream reached 3,816. The Alberta Express Entry stream allows the Alberta province to select the eligible applicants with a profile in the Federal Express System which manages the pool of candidates in three economic immigration programs Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trade Program, and Canadian Experience Class. The express entry candidates with a provincial nomination receive an additional 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that increases the invitation to apply chances for Canada PR.
